Overview

Our thoughtful repeat clients, a household which includes two adults, one baby, and two cats, are on the lookout for a full-time Executive Housekeeper to join their team in Portola Valley. The ideal candidate should bring strong organizational skills and self-sufficiency to the table, adeptly managing daily cleaning tasks with efficiency and discretion. Honesty, trustworthiness, and clear communication are key qualities for navigating around the household while respecting boundaries.

It's worth noting that our clients value long-term commitment and would love to hire someone who intends to grow with them for many years to come. The role calls for multitasking abilities, from tidying play areas to handling laundry and errands, all while maintaining efficiency. Initiative in creating cleaning protocols and responsiveness to client direction are highly valued. Additionally, please be aware that one of the clients is present at home with the baby throughout the day, so the hired candidate must feel comfortable working in this setting.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please note: Flexibility is available if the Housekeeper desires less than 40 hours per week.

Location: Candidates should reside within a commutable distance to Portola Valley.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily housekeeping duties to the highest standard of service.
• Stocking and cleaning bathrooms, including wiping countertops, cleaning mirrors, tiles, and glass.
• Cleaning and organizing the kitchen, refrigerator, and pantry, along with dishwashing.
• Tidying up family and dining areas, as well as bedrooms, including making beds and changing linens.
• Managing laundry, from washing and folding to putting items away, with careful attention to fabric care.
• Organizing and putting away items left out to maintain cleanliness.
• Handling garbage disposal and light pet care, including cleaning the litter box for the client's two cats.
• Undertake special organizational projects related to home cleanliness and maintenance as required.
• Run simple errands as requested.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in private homes and/or luxury hotels.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors – this is essential.
• Physical stamina and mobility to perform various tasks, including lifting and bending (approximately 30 lbs.).
• Stellar references from previous employers.
• Legally eligible to work in the US and able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.

Compensation:

• $48 per hour (depending on experience).
• Healthcare stipend after 90 days of employment.
• 10 days of paid vacation.
